Barcelona announced today, Sunday, that its defender Gerard Pique had a spasm in his right calf, without specifying the duration of his absence.



  

Pique, 34, left his team's match on Saturday against its guest Deportivo Alaves (1-1) in the second half, leaving his place for Frenchman Clement Langley.


The Catalan team confirmed that Pique will be subject to more medical examinations to determine the severity of the injury and the length of time he will be absent from the stadiums.
