English football club Newcastle hopes to conclude a deal with Spanish coach Unai Emery by the end of this week, according to press reports on Tuesday.

And the BBC reported that the club is seeking to sign the current Villarreal coach before the upcoming trip to Brighton on Saturday in the Premier League, knowing that his team will host the Swiss Young Boys in the fourth round of the group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Reports indicated that a six million pound ($8 million) deal was negotiating to free the former Arsenal coach from his contract with his current club.
An investment group that includes the Saudi Public Investment Fund acquired the club last month, with a Saudi stake in it of 80 percent, but the immediate goal of "Magby's" is limited to avoiding relegation to the second level (Championship), as the team did not win any of its ten matches. First in the league and occupies the bottom rank with four points.
Former coach Steve Bruce parted ways with the club after the takeover, but the performance did not improve under interim coach Graeme Jones, who picked up one point from two games against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Emery led Villarreal to the first major title in its history by winning the European League "European League" last season at the expense of Manchester United in the final.
However, his previous period in England was unsuccessful after he was sacked early in his second season with the London club after he succeeded his legendary French coach Arsene Wenger.
