Barcelona club management has officially announced the appointment of Xavi Hernandez as coach of the first team after reaching an agreement with his Qatari club Al Sadd.



Xavi commented on his appointment as Barca coach, saying: Barcelona fans, I'm going home, I'm going back to the house I grew up in. I'm here in the club of my life. I cannot describe the words and feelings that I carry in order to defend this slogan that I always carry in my heart.
